Two (make that THREE) Great Quotes

I heard/read three great quotes this weekend, all which I could completely relate to:

“Sometimes you’re the pigeon, sometimes you’re the statue.”
~ From a poster a rock star reading teacher has in her classroom

“True love is not always about passion and butterflies but about a commitment.”
~ Anonymous commenter on my blog

"I also read a verse that said "give wine to those in anguish" and that made me smile. . .next time you have a glass of wine, remind those around you that it's "from God" - ha!"
~ Anita, commenter on my blog

  1. I was thinking of you this morning as I read my bible before church. I was reading in Ecc., the verses about "There is a time for everything". You are certainly going through the "not so fun" side of these verses, but because of God's great love for you, you will once again experience the happy side of these verses. Until then, keep crying, keep being angry, cause God loves you and so do many other people, including me! I also read a verse that said "give wine to those in anguish" and that made me smile. . .next time you have a glass of wine, remind those around you that it's "from God" - ha! I hope that these comments are coming across with their true intention. . .to show you my support and to let you know that I'm praying for you. . .and not to make light of anything that you are experiencing and feeling at this point. Just know that I read your blog faithfully and say prayers often for you; for strength, for peace, and for your husband's heart to be softened to be committed to work through these hard issues and remain married to a wonderful, beautiful, daughter of God. . .YOU! Take care, friend! In Him, Anita

  2. Had an interesting day today. i will post about it later. I was wondering how you were today and some verses in Jeremiah came to me.

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds declares the Lord." Jeremiah 30:17

I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. I will rebuild you, my virgin Israel. You will again be happy and dance merrily with your tambourines. Again you will plant your vineyards on the mountains of Samaria and eat from your own gardens there. The day will come when watchmen will shout from the hill country of Ephraim, 'Come, let us go up to Jerusalem' to worship the LORD our God.'" Jeremiah 31:3-6
